The Selection Sliders are an excellent tool for cutting, copying, cropping and pasting a selected section of the Timeline. You can also select regions across tracks.
You can superimpose two video or even use the blue/green screen effect Hollywood style! To do so, first use the Key Color Transition to specify the color to be made transparent and then overlay the video with your second video clip.

A Volume Graph is a part of each Audio Track. It can be used to visually change the volume of the audio over time with pin point accuracy. With the 2 volume graphs, you can create stunning audio effects like the Doppler Effect, Audio Cross fades and Mixing.
You can use the Reset Volume feature to revert back to the Audio trackÆs default volume. To reset the volume, click on æReset VolumeÆ on the Tools menu.
The entire Volume Graph for an Audio track can be moved by pressing the Control key while moving a volume point on the graph.
Video Edit Magic supports all popular video, audio and image formats. You can combine many different formats of videos, audios, and image files all on the same Timeline.
You can select multiple sources while editing on the Timeline. To multi-select, hold down the control key and then select each source by clicking it once. If you want to move multiple sources together, while maintaining their relative positions, first multi-select the sources and then use the arrow keys.
Each Media File, Effect or Transition is represented on the Timeline by a horizontal bar. You can change the duration by resizing the horizontal bar. This can be accomplished by selecting and moving the resizing handle on the top right corner of the horizontal bar.
If you are using multiple Videos and Effects in your project, and need to preview which combination looks the best, you can use the View/Hide option to experiment.The View/Hide option is present adjacent to each track on the Timeline.
You can add your favorite music file to the Audio track. If you would like to use it for the entire duration of the video, select the Audio source on the Timeline and then click on æRepeat AudioÆ under the Tools menu.
All the linked tracks in the Timeline can be split into 2 parts in one operation. To do so, first position the Seek Slider on the Timeline where you want to apply the split. Then select Tools > Split Timeline. To split a single track, first select the source file, Effect or Transition on the Timeline. Then select Tools> Split Track to apply the split.
The Disable control allows you to avoid watching or hearing the preview of a source file while editing.
Range selection can be done on two or more tracks together by linking them using the Link control.
If you donÆt want to do any changes to the source files, Effects or Transitions present in a track, you can lock the track using the Lock control.
A Transition is a graceful way to move between two video clips. To add a Transition, both Video tracks should have at least one media file.
You can add Markers as visual cues for remembering important positions to the Timeline to enjoy an organized editing experience. To add a Marker to a particular point on the Timeline, position the Seek Slider on the point you want to mark and then press the F8 key.

You can add multiple media files together to the Timeline. Simply select the source files in the Media Files tab under the Collections Window, and then select Edit > Add to Timeline.
The Stretch Mode feature lets you change or preserve the aspect ratio of your video source. You can use the Stretch Mode feature when dealing with videos that have different dimensions as compared to the rest of the project. To select a stretch mode, click on Set Stretch Mode under the Edit menu.
You can use the Unlink option to restrict the movement of existing sources in a track, when a new source is dragged and dropped in some other track. Sources in the unlinked tracks will not be moved.
Video Edit MagicÆs Media Converter utility can be used to convert file of any format to AVI.
The Recommended or Full installation of QuickTime Player 7.0 or higher is required to create movies in QuickTime's Movie format (MOV).
You can use the Narration Recorder to narrate straight into the Timeline. To open the narration recorder, point to the Tools menu and click Narration. Position the slider from where you want to start narrating and click Start.
You can add credits and create title slides by using the Text/Title effect. This effect can also be used to annotate frames in your video clips or images, to make them unique and fun to watch. To use the Text/Title effect, simply drag its icon from the Collections Window to the Effect track in the Timeline.
You can correct videos whose colors are too dark, bright, or dull, by using the Brightness/Contrast Effect. This Effect allows you to specify the brightness, contrast and gamma levels of your videos. To use this Effect, simply drag and drop its icon from the Collections Window to the Timeline.
You can export your edited movies to a Digital Video Camera. This can be done by first using the Make Movie Wizard to save the edited project in the DV AVI format. The DV AVI file can then be exported to the camera by using Video Edit MagicÆs built-in DV Export Utility (Tools > Export to DV Camera).
The Rotate effect allows you to accurately carry out transformation tasks like rotating, moving and zooming your videos. This can prove to be especially handy while correcting the orientation of your videos. You can also use this effect to specify a background color for a video or image file.
You can directly import footage from your USB or FireWire Camera by using Video Edit MagicÆs Capture tool. To do so, simply connect your camera to your PC and then start the Capture tool by clicking on Capture from the Tools menu.
You can increase compatibility with other multimedia applications by disabling filters installed by them while you work with Video Edit Magic. This can be done by using the Compatibility feature. The settings that you do will not affect the working of the other applications.
You can automatically restore size of a resized clip. Select the resized clip and then select Edit > Restore Size or press Ctrl + R.
You can automatically align two clips. Holding the Ctrl key select the clips which are to be aligned and then select Tools > Align Clips or press Ctrl + F12.
To pixelate a portion of the video clip, you can use Pixelate effect in combination with the Picture in Picture transition.
To insert a watermark in the video clip, you can use Animated Transform effect with Luminance transition.
